  1. I'm running 4.2.2 English in Parallels.  I think there've been some changes.  The password does not seem to be "xiaopan" but that is easily changed.  First off, you've provided a "Root Shell" so that you can go right into that and change your password, or you can do "sudo passwd" in the regular "tc" user shell and change it that way, as tc is in the sudo group.
Nice little disto.  Could you please give a tutorial on feedingbottle, including a dictionary attack?  I'd like to see how you do it in parallels or off usb/cd boot...  Do you just generally use a wordlist off PirateBay or something, do you have a favorite set of wordlists?  What do you find to be the most efficient/effective?

  2. Thanks for the feedback, I will make a tutorial on feeding bottle, I have made a post explaining the different methods, but thats a little too technical with some.

Not sure about booting off usb with parallels. I don't think you can boot from USB but I will look into it.Definitely would be possible on DVD or CD. It is also possible to run XiaoPan on USB at boot if you have a Windows system which means you do not need any virtualisation software.I am against dictionary attacks because you can waste alot of resources and there is no guarantee that you will get in. I have been using Reaver Inflator which gives me a mix of results. AFAIK there are password files in XiaoPan as well as Beini but I have not tried a dictionary attack or created my own wordlist.http://dishingtech.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/how-to-create-bootable-usb-for-xiaopan.html
